Having a macbook and WIndows laptops, the only thing you can into account is that if by error you remove the usb cable, on WIndows, you need to close serato, wait and start serato.
On a macbook, replug the usb cable and you have less to wait.
If you don't take that issue into consideration, any laptop even Core I3 is more than enough. I do run serato on a MBP of 2011 and Dell XPS of 2012.
Also with the latest beta, SDJ take much less cpu usage.
