FIX THE TTM57mkII!!!

Mike_P 1:59 PM - 15 March, 2016
I'm tired of the blame game and all of this passing the buck bullshit. Rane says its Serato's fault, Serato says its Rane's fault, blah blah blah. The people who bought the mkII paid a lot of money for the most basic of functions to not work. FIX THE HEADPHONE DELAY FIX THE HEADPHONE DELAY FIX THE HEADPHONE DELAY FIX THE HEADPHONE DELAY FIX THE HEADPHONE DELAY FIX THE HEADPHONE DELAY FIX THE HEADPHONE DELAY!!!!!!!! I've opened three help tickets and this last one didn't even get a response. I expect a piece of gear I pay top dollar for to work properly, AT LEAST THE BASIC FUNCTIONS!!! This has been ongoing for OVER A YEAR!

Wow even with new drivers/firmware? It should of been fixed by now.
Despo 5:48 PM - 15 March, 2016
wow a 2100€ mixer with delayed on the headphone channel? Sounds like something hardware related that cannot be fixed, otherwise they would've done so by now. Thankfully i got myself an S9 2 days ago, really happy with that thing.
pdidy 12:22 AM - 16 March, 2016
Mike_P im unfamiliar with the issue can you bring me up to speed.
Mike_P 4:20 AM - 16 March, 2016
Pdidy, when the cue fader is on the open channel (on the main fader) there is a noticeable delay between the headphones and the mains. It's frustrating as hell because when you're cuing up its fine but as soon as you open the fader to bring in the mix you get the delay. It's a known issue that was immediately reported after the first batch hit the public to both Rane and Serato by myself and others. They both kept promising that each update to firmware/software would fix the problem but none have. I spoke to Rane reps at NAMM and they said that they had done all they could on their end and that Serato needed to fix it on their end. Right now IDGAF who fixes it, it just needs to be fixed. This is ridiculous for a professional piece of equipment.

^^^Thanks, got it.

Hey guys,

Good news, this issue was addressed in 1.9.3! It's a bit of a trade off however - to remove the delay, you need to disable the Flex FX insert which means that your Serato DJ FX will no longer be post-fader. So to do this:

1) Download Serato DJ 1.9.3 -> serato.com
2) Start up Serato DJ and connect your TTM57MKII.
3) Open the side panel by clicking the "My Serato" button - you should be presented with the option to install the latest Rane Control Panel.
4) Open the Rane Control Panel and update the firmware on the TTM57MKII.

You are now able to toggle the Flex FX insert on/off by pressing SHIFT + FX ON on the mixer. With the Flex FX insert off, the delay will no longer be present.

I hope that helps :)

Cheers,
Michael.

I'll give it a shot. So I'll be able to disable the fx then turn them back on as needed in the mix???

Michael R 10:27 PM - 18 October, 2016
Correct! You can toggle them on/off as you like :)

I've heard Mike_P's mixing before...

The "delay" was nothing more than a good natured attempt by Serato to help him out...

No good deed goes unpunished....

I've had my TTM57 Mk2 for over a year now, i have never experienced any headphone delay or any of the other problems mentioned in these forums (low headphone gain, channel issues etc.)

Not bragging that I've been lucky, just pointing to the fact there must be a few faulty units out there because mine has been fine since day 1.

In saying that, i use VirtualDJ 90% of the time, but when i use Serato there i have none of these problems either.

Good luck with getting it sorted, i can assure you that they are a beautiful piece of hardware when you get going.

Michael R, the workaround works as you stated, but it's a pain in the ass when quick mixing when I want to use the fx. Are you guys still working on a more permanent fix?

I was already the second time I send my 62 assistance to the headset problems. in practice if I move the potentiometer cue / mix, everything from the mix should I listen to music only if I raise the channels. but if I keep them down, and I press the button PFL this feels the same by having the volume peaks you are down, I had sent a video to Zac to make him see the problem. Now here we go again, the last time they changed the motherboard, but if I say to replace the mixer, I do give a pioneer s9. This is my last year warranty, if the problem occurs again how much I get it repaired at my expense.

Mike_P 1:57 AM - 25 October, 2016
Homie, you have what psychologists call a homosexual fixation. It doesn't bother me, your mom or your wife that you call me gay. 😆😆😆 And ask your daughter about being a booty tickler since she's the one who licked my asshole. 👌🏾

And now you are bringing child sexual fantasies into the mix...and ENJOYING IT...

Again, typical Pedo behavior.

Good thing we shined the light on you before you got those juice boxes out...

lmao.

Wow.

Mature behaviour guys, I'm locking this thread.

FYI @ Mike_P,

I'm afraid this is the fix. As long as the FX insert is enabled, there can be a delay in the headphones. If your machine can handle it, try lowering your USB buffer as that can help too.
