I've been looking at getting a set of CDJ's and farily keen on scrating (no expert).
I know from experience, I would need the ten inch platter from the CDJ or XDJ range.
The problem is I want to use them to control Decks C & D in serato DJ and keep the A & B on the VCI 400 plus being able to use other media with the CDJ's (cd's, usb over DJ link, ect...).
Question is can this be done, as I have no experience with the new line of CDJ's ?
thanks.

So after major research...
If I linked up my VCI the HID is selectable to which deck you want to use it in serato from the CDJ if my understanding is correct.

Yes thats how its works. not tried with a VCI-400 so for a definite answer you may need to ask serato in a support ticket.

Unless you would like to retain the players other functions. My favorite solution was using serato with HID and then using the cdj sound card for traktor or rekordbox in which case the Eva's must still be connected. Even nice to use an actual cd every now and then.

No need to connect rca's either.Just a USB cordUnless you would like to retain the players other functions. Hey, did you ever get it to work? I'm in the same position as you were.
