Empath P&G fader lube?

Cleaning up a friends Empath .

I was wondering if it is safe to use the Dupont or f5 lube on the Empath P&G faders .

The same lube that i have always used and Rane recommends on the newer magnetic faders.

Or do i HAVE to use the silicon that the old manual pdf recommends for cleaning the p&g faders.

If so which specific silicon based do you guys reccomend.

And just putting lube on the rails is recommended right?

Hey wicked.. the lube we used for the Empath was Deoxit Fader Lube F100L-C or F5 but our repair tech now uses the Dupont Multi Use lube on everything:) He says its superior than the old lube and yes, you just apply a couple drops (or a little spray) to each rail.

Great news since i have I have both on hand and don't have to buy a new bottle. Will use the Dupont.
