Hey guys.. what format do you use when recording in serato dj? Everytime I record and save it then burn it on to disc or just play it it seems quiet?

I use WAV but usually I put it in Audacity and convert it to MP3 after I am done what ever editing required.

Jase125,

Not much difference between aiff vs wav.
I'd just recommend boosting the overall volume with a compressor/Limiter before burning it to disc or posting it online.

This is not something you can do in Serato. If you have another program like audacity or Ableton live then you can do that in these programs. Typcially these are called DAW's or Digital Audio workstations.

Hope that helps

Philmixit,

I'm not too sure how platinum notes does it gain, but I'd be more inclined to use Audacity or Garageband to do this. I think you'll have more control over the way it sounds.
