As reported in the beta forum:
I'm tagging my .wav files with Tag & Rename 3.5.1.
If I update a value in Serato, all unknown ID3 frames by Serato will be lost.

Hi pueblofunky,
Would you be able to make a copy of a .wav file, then make changes in Scratch Live to one of these (so you'll have a "before" and "after" file). Then could you please upload them both here -> www.serato.com (click link). We'll take a look and see what we can do :)

I've tagged the WAV File with Tag & Rename 3.5.3 (www.softpointer.com) which uses ID3v2.3 in WAV Files.
Screen Shot 1 (TR_Tag_1.png) shows the first part of the values.

Here is the original WAV file tagged with Tag & Rename - now the HEX screen shot of the ID3 part.

As you can see - all required ID3 information is stored.
After that I've started SL 1.9.1, loaded the file into the library and all possible tags will be shown correctly.
After that I've only changed the value of the tag 'genre' from "Synth-Pop" to "Synth-Pop2".
And then - see the HEX screen shot of the ID3 part after this change:

A lot of values are lost - not written back by SL !!! This is a VERY BIG bug - and a NO USE of SL to tag the WAV files.

As you can see - IT IS A BUG!
e.g. "Album Artist" (TPE2) is missing after the update.
And it is a standard ID3v2.3 tag. See www.id3.org .. chapter "4. Declared ID3v2 frames".
Please fix this in the next version.
Thanks a lot!

Hi pueblofunky,
Thanks for the information, it's much appreciated :)
We've fixed this issue in the latest beta of Scratch Live 1.9.2. If you can, please download it and see if you still have this issue. You can get the beta here -> www.serato.com (click link)
