I'm experiencing some crackling and distortion sounds over songs with my new mac book pro i5 8gb ram. This crackling is more frequent/obvious when using special fx or 4 decks. Occasionally the usb drop out light comes on but the crackling noise starts way before this. The CPU bar barely moves from a minimum level.

I've switched off Bluetooth, wireless, sleep mode and screen saver.

The problem disappears when I increase the latency to half way, however apple techs tell me that the i5 processor should be more than powerful enough to cope with the SDJ software.

Any suggestions would be welcome.
