i have an i5 2,5ghz,6 gb ram, gfarce gt520mx. after installing 1.5.2 everything works fine again. even my library is complete.
no corrupted files.
its not that big. maybe 50 songs...

did you do a clean install? meaning,uninstall old Serato...reboot,then install.

a lot of people always rush the install process and this happens.

I did exactly what you offer to do, yet the same result ,I even installed serato 1.6 (not beta) in a new pc that serato old ver was never installed on him

I tried on 5 pc win 7 64bit differnt pc the same result :(

Hey guys,

Can you try these steps:

- Does it keep happening every time, or is it just the first time?
- Disable your internet connection and try again
- Try a fresh install (uninstall/delete the Serato package folder from Program Files first and then download a new package for install).

Let me know how it goes.

Is everyone on windows 7 64bit having this issue?

If not then it may be a windows registry conflict. get CCleaner Professional in trial mode.

un-install Serato DJ 1.6,use CC to cleanout your computer including the registry...Re-boot,then re-install.

If that fails,you may have to just use the 32bit version of windows 7.Serato DJ is 32Bit application i believe.

SDJ 1.6 should work with 64bit windows. This shouldn't be the cause of the issue.

I know Matt,but was thinking that could be a quick fix since he's willing to re-format...Windows is so complicated/un-predictable...i'd advise a Macbook Pro to the above when they get the funds.

Have you disabled anti virus software?

You can try renaming the _Serato_ folder to see if this helps to allow you to open.

Follow these steps:

Close Serato Applications
Navigate to the "My Music" folder and locate the _Serato_ folder
Rename _Serato_ folder to _Serato_old (Don't worry about the backup folder)
Open Serato DJ
This will create a new _Serato_ folder in your "My Music" folder and create a blank template with no crates or any other stored information.

Are you able to open?

To regain information as you left it
Close Serato DJ
Trash new _Serato_ folder
Rename _Serato_Old back to _Serato_
Open Serato DJ
Everything should be back to normal.

Ok, the new version wont have this screen in it. I have had some good luck from a user who created another userprofile with admin permissions.
