No one has a MASSIVE collection?
anewsome 8:49 PM - 21 March, 2006
I started collecting vinyl in 1985 too. Damn, we are all the same age I guess. I sold all my vinyl before I moved across the country. I fit everything I owned in a 2 seater sports car and the vinyl was not about to go with me.

Thundercat 10:59 PM - 21 March, 2006
Heck, I'd have to go to 3 or 4 different places to get pictures of all my vinyl...The garage, my mom's basement, my mom's garage, my brother's place, my partner's place...I hope to find room for it all here at my house in the next year (my wife will murderize me). =)

Thundercat 12:12 AM - 22 March, 2006
How about I start with just the 23 crates in my garage. You will notice little piles of aditional records stacked on top of some of the crates and a few to the right of my turtable cases. Here mysite.verizon.net

I will try to remember my camera the next time I go visiting the rest of my stuff. =)
nik39 12:15 AM - 22 March, 2006
TC, did you ever try to count them?
Thundercat 12:18 AM - 22 March, 2006
I'd go a bit bonkers if I tried that. Many of those have 2-4 copies jammed into each sleeve.

Yeah nice... i just ripped that YZ last week, the EP and LP wow am i feeling older.
djgrandpa 8:58 PM - 22 March, 2006
Collecting since 1978 and gave the whole collection away between 1990 & 1997 not knowing what most of the 12" singles would be worth now!!! Stupid me. 1984 I was given a whole of the 70's collection by a record store manager as a gift. My house was broken into and I lost the lot including my precious 1200's. "I hate thiefs"
DJ_CARY 9:01 PM - 22 March, 2006
That is ALOT of (anvil)CASE ... CASESSSSSS!!!!!

*drool*
questinpa 3:25 AM - 23 March, 2006
Damn YZ That does bring back memories. He is from a few towns away from me. Anybody got any PRT? They are from my my home town. I only have about 4 crates full.. I started DJing back in 84 or 85 or so jacking up the parents record player and records listening to Red Alert and Chuck Chillout. I left it alone for about 15 years but got pulled back in late last year. All I have to say is SSL had a lot to do with it.
Grundy 7:42 PM - 15 November, 2006
How funny that most of you mentioned the YZ record. I'm actually YZ's tour DJ. Good to here he is still getting love in SSL land. Hopefully I will have some new material for all soon.
Clark @ Breakin-Records.com 9:17 PM - 15 November, 2006
Grundy: I have 1 word for YZ... chainsaw. [LOL!]

Yeah. Some of us do, but we don't need to showcase it to make us feel more special.
DJJOHNNYM 10:49 AM - 16 November, 2006
Hey Grundy...I was DJ'ing at Rutgers in New Brunswick NJ, when YZ and Just-Ice happened to be in the crowd and was feeling the party and jumped on stage and did an IMPROMPTU MIC SESSION!

I've still got the video footage...

That had to be like 92-94.

Wow.

We even had KENNY PARKER come thru a few parties we did on the campus on the low.
DJ_Mike_Coquilla 11:17 AM - 16 November, 2006
whoa, Just-Ice.... Cold Getting Dumb!
DJJOHNNYM 12:58 PM - 16 November, 2006

I see that UBC "UB Style" and that Super Cat "Ghetto Red Hot" in that last pic. Two of my favorites.
Mr. $weetlife 6:22 PM - 4 March, 2007
Supercat? Ghetto Red Hot? You got the NYC Badmen LP? Still kills it to this day!
Thundercat 7:38 PM - 4 March, 2007
Heya SPAIR, what shelving did you use, custom or pre-fab? Since I am now thoroughly convinced I will be retiring my crates, I am looking for more permanent yet still easily accessible and able to be broken down. What you have there looks perfect.
Thundercat 7:56 PM - 4 March, 2007
Looks like EXPEDIT from Ikea in 4x4 www.ikea.com if I am not mistaken. Correct?
