Hey DJ Cutloose,
Could I please have your computers full specs? Also can you think of ANY changes to your system / setup / library that took place before you started getting these issues?
How is your music stored, ie, internally / externally? Do you notice the issue more with certain tracks?
Let me know,
Sam

Are you running any other software in the background?
Your hard drive is getting a bit on the full side, the general rule is usually 10%+ free space.

Do you notice the lag on loading certain tracks? Are some worse than others? if so, can you pin point either the folder where they are stored or are they certain formats?
Have you been through these steps: serato.com

Hey,
This is a good idea. Verify and repair your disk permissions.
Did you check this out?
