Effects to be heard through headphones without using master cue

I have recently made the transition from from cdj 1000s & DJM 800 to the DDJ SX and one thing i found missing was the ability to preview the effects in headphones before playing out. I can only appear to hear them when pressing the master cue.
Being a pioneer unit i was kind of expecting to have this feature as the DJM series had this feature.
To me this feature was important so you could preview your effects so no mistakes are made when playing out.
Maybe Serato could add a feature in its update so that you can allign the effects to a channel so when you press the cue on the channel you are able to hear them as you can on the DJM 800.
Has anybody else thought this?

The effects chain has always baffled me, not being able to tell whether the software filter is where I want it or not unless it's going out.

...I can add a little story from my most recent gig:
I was slamming in a new track and everything just went SILENT! Started checking the software and all cables. The track were playing but no sound. Had to unplug and replug the controller (in slight panic) and then the sound came on again. A couple of weeks later I reminded myself that I had used the Braker effekt that night, probably two tracks before the silence... So, I just cued in the new track, and the Braker was still active = no sound...
WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN! ;-P

I had the same issue while I was streaming my radio program in Mixlr and Ustream. my concern is what Serato is going to do about that problem. I remove the driver and re-install it but the same thing happen

Hi Ojgbagg27,
Reinstalling drivers etc wont make a difference as this is the way Serato is designed.
We are asking Serato to re-evalute this way their Effects are channeled?
I want the effects to also come through on the CUE of that channel when an effect is applied to the channel, but the fader is still down?
Pleaseee Serato acknowledge our issue?

Would be a cool addition. But: We all want post fader effects and the cue path is always pre fader. Otherwise you won't be able to cue with the channel fader closed...

I understand what you saying Riko.
I wonder if Serato could add an option for having effects then set to Pre Fader?
That way I could also use my Noise Sweep effect without it being so damn loud!!!

Its 2018 and this still hasn't been fixed? When your fast mixing and have to switch out would be great to hear if your effect is still on, if it sounds right. Sometimes you want to switch effects you have to adjust them live? That's wack. Hope Serato fixes this.

It works on my Akai AMX, but It does not work on my VCI-380. I've always wondered about that.

Yes, I would also like to +1 this. Looking for a solution to this, please. My "Made for Serato" MixTrack Pro 3 doesn't have a way to hear the FX before master out.

really need to be able to hear all of the audio (with fx) in headphones..
why you wouldn't want to hear exactly what is being sent out to a crowd is beyond me
