Oh btw in case u weren't aware...there is music out side the realms of hip hop. As much as I love, revere, and respect hip hop, I and others on this forum have made room for other terms such as Reggae/dance hall, soca/calypso, Dance Music (and all its sub genres), rock... and the list goes on, in our vocabs. Some of us are actually versatile enough to include some of these other musical genres in the execution of our dj gigs.

Broaden your mind "twerpflare", the musical sun doesn't only shine out of hip hop's ass. If u think that only hip hop constitutes music of worth then u are perhaps a very deficient DJ. Goodbye! and please don't come back

We all have our musical preferences and uses for Serato and turntables, so who cares if, say, he's a "turntablist" and they're a "mixologist." It seems the only one making polarizing comments ("IM TIRED OF ALL YOU PRETENTIOUS QUEER TRANCE DJS," etc.) is chirpie. Like others, I think it's humorous the way he throws down his opinion...I'd most always get a kick out of his posts. There's only a few things I really didn't like seeing, using the forum as a place to hook up and steal/copy eachother's music (which I actually posted about), and slinging insults and just being nasty to others (which others took to task).

Not really sure where this attitude started anyway, because there seems to be more people here with scratching skill than simpleton "trance DJ's," like me. That's one of the things that makes this forum great...we have this universal tool that can greatly benefit each of our crafts, and (especially with things like the Feature Suggestions area) we can see all sorts of different musical uses for Serato and perspectives on what direction we all would like to see this program take. If you don't like other people's opinion or what they do and post about, don't read their posts! There's plenty of other people who aren't "queer trance DJ's" to go around...turntablists, wedding DJ's, club DJ's, etc.
