Biography

DJ Ivy started DJâing at the age of 12 and quickly progressed to community radio at age 13 on Dallas Fort Worthâs KNON 89.3 along with DJ Spin. At Age 14, he joined the mixing DJâs of KRBV âHot 100.3â³ which later became âWild 100.3.â where he hosted and DJâed on Friday and Saturday nightâs electronic mix shows. Friday nights were broadcasted from the world famous âRed Jacketâ and Saturday nights as well from âClub DNAâ in Dallas. During his time at KRBV, he became Pepsiâs official âPepsi Mixerâ for the DFW area. He also assisted and started his career in âCreative Imagingâ and âAudio Engineering.â
His fame became nationally known after releasing several record LPâs under R2M records. From there he became a resident DJ at many clubs around Dallas as well as in Detroit, Kansas City, Monterrey, Aguascalientes, Guadalajara and more. In 2003, he began a new venture at KKDL â106.7â³ where he again, hosted and DJâed on Friday and Saturday nightâs mix shows which included interviews with local and national guest DJâs.
He left radio years later to pursue video production in Miami and continued his DJ career spinning at clubs like âClub Loveâ in Miami and producing music for digital distribution through iTunes and Beatport.
He currently lives in Dallas, where he is a certified Pro Tools Audio Engineer and Video DJ incorporating self made and remixed videos for visual entertainment while he mixes. His style is described as fast paced and bass driven. His âVJingâ and live performance P.A. brings a higher level of immersion while mixing the latest electro/house music. His styles of music also include trance, dubstep, hip-hop, and mash up. Future projects include new iTunes releases of original and remixed tracks expanding different genres of electronica as well as music videos in HD.
