Biography

LockOne aka Channellock (born Matthew Borland Jan/7th/1983 in Montgomery Alabama) the first son of folk musician David Borland was raised on everything from bluegrass and irish folk music to jazz, soul, and funk. A long standing and proud Atlanta resident Lock has been rocking everything from house parties to big venues since the early 2000s. He co-founded Atlanta’s Skrull Invaders www.skrullinvaders.com (LockOne, Noci The Misfit, Brown Recluse, Pako The Panik) for which he is the main producer and backing dj. He also helped start full time internet radio station www.vvcradio.com on which his “Hate City Radio” show airs Thursday nights at 8pm est. An extremely focused turntablist, producer, and business man he has shared the stage with the likes of Ivan Ives, Cool Breeze, Ill Digitz (Kooley High), YelaWolf, Bone Crusher, Boog Brown & many more. Having just finished an electro hip-hop album “ The Wisdom of Insecurities” with Ratchet set for release 4/16/2011 he is currently working on an electric organic instrumental project "The Mana Machine" with colab crew "Natural Selektion".
