Biography
New Jersey resident DJ Mo Rada started spinning the nightlife scene in the summer of 2004. After appearing for numerous guest spots he landed his first residency at the notorious “Wet Thursday’s” party @ Poor Billy’s. Here he got to spin alongside House music legend Anthony Acid. The established producer inspired Mo to broaden his taste in music, to think outside the box. After picking up the necessary experience to read crowds and create energetic atmospheres, Mo Rada began to develop his own style.
Armed with basic DJ experience and a drive for success, Mo landed a few more residencies and big guest spots over the year of 2005. Platinum in New Brunswick and Dreemz in Philadelphia were his biggest mentions. Spinning in different city’s exposed Mo to a variety of people from different cultures and musical tastes. This changed his outlook on music and helped expose his talent. In the summer of 2006, the young ambitious DJ paid a memorable visit to Atlantic City. Mo and a few friends got to see Crooklyn Clan’sä DJ Sizzahandz spin at a local AC nightclub. This was the biggest inspiration thus far in Mo Rada’s young career. Seeing Siz live eventually lead to Mo following other big DJ’s and thus motivated him to reinvent himself. Since then he has gotten into the production scene making various mixes and mash-ups. Most notably, Mo Rada adopted the ‘Hollywood’ style format mixing anything you can and can’t think of. Along with all of the popular commercial music, he’s got a knack for dropping tracks you would never think to hear at a dance club that the crowds dig. Classic Rock, Disco, 80’s. The only music format Mo is concerned with is no format at all.
His newly adopted style eventually granted him exposure to the Crooklyn Clan. In October 2006, Mo’s mixes and mash-ups were posted on CrooklynClan.net where they were available to the public for download. His productions were amongst some of the most creative minds in the mash-up game. Mo has since shifted his focus towards original productions and Radio.
