Today's announcement for Serato DJ 1.6.2 brings new Official Serato Accessory support for an exciting new product, The Reloop RP-8000 Turntable.
Here's a quick run through on how to get the RP-8000 set up and working with Serato DJ.
After being announced at the BPM show in Birmingham this year, the Reloop RP-8000 is now supported as an Official Serato Accessory.
This 'hybrid' high torque turntable is a perfect companion for Serato DJ, with its built-in digital control section to operate many features within the software.
The RP-8000 is a class compliant USB plug and play device and requires no further driver installation.
The RP-8000 is an additional controller that will only work in addition to supported Serato DJ hardware. Click here to see a list of supported Serato DJ hardware.
Setup is easy!
- Download and install the latest version of Serato DJ from serato.com/dj/downloads
- Connect your supported Serato DJ hardware
- Connect your Reloop RP-8000 to an available USB port.
- Open Serato DJ.
Now you can take advantage of the performance pads directly on the RP-8000, and use its four different modes to control many features inside Serato DJ.
The four modes are: Hot Cue, Auto Loop, Sampler and User. Take it a step further and combine two modes at once, splitting the 8 performance pads into 4 for each mode e.g. Cue + Loops, Sample + Cue etc.
