Serato Video is a software plug-in for ITCH and Scratch Live enabling you to manipulate video playback with an ITCH DJ Controller.
The minimum requirements to run ITCH varies between DJ Controllers. Minimum requirements common to all controllers include an Intel Processor and a screen resolution of 1024 x 768. An impressive number of the world’s leading DJ brands work closely with Serato to co-engineer and manufacture ITCH hardware.
If you are needing to swap laptops while using a Vestax VCI-300 then follow this guide for an easy hassle free change over.
A 9v power adaptor for the VCI-300
An external source of audio (iPod / CD player etc) and connecting cables.
Make sure your VCI-300 is powered by the external 9v power adaptor. This is crucial, as the VCI-300 will need this power in order to pass audio when no laptop is connected.
Select power source as ‘ADAPTOR’ on the back of unit.
Connect your external source to the Input / Thru plugs on the back of the VCI-300
*When playing music from ITCH, select ‘PC’ as the sound source on the back of the VCI-300. When playing from your external source select THRU ON.
When you are finished playing a track in ITCH, start your external audio source and then follow these instructions to swap Djs:
1. Switch VCI-300 to ‘THRU ON’
2. Quit ITCH
3. Unplug the VCI-300’s USB cable from the laptop
4. Plug the USB cable into the new laptop
5. Start ITCH (you can switch steps 4 & 5 with no problems)
6. Get set up and switch back from ‘THRU ON’ to ‘PC’ to start playing from ITCH again
You can swap as many times as you like.
Note: To avoid potential problems we recommend getting each laptop setup and calibrated at the venue, even if you are using the same VCI-300.

Note: On some machines, in between steps 4 and 5 you will need to select power source as ‘USB’ on the back of unit then switch back to 'ADAPTOR'.
