When i am recording a set using the bridge my mixers crossfades are not being recognized. I am recording sets with no mixing just tracks laying on top of each other.

And they wont be. You are using a SL1. You need to use a Rane mixer with Serato built in to get your faders to record.

So in essence the bridge is useless to me...Is that what you are saying?

The mixtape function will be useless to you without the right mixer, as Code:E stated. There is literally no way for the .als file to know where your faders are positioned without it. It's just a physical impossibility.

You can certainly use the playback side of the Bridge though, adding elements from Ableton to your mix in Scratch Live.

Thank you...it still stinks that I have to buy new gear after all the gear and software that I already had to purchase.

That alone is where the power in the bridge lies.
