I have recently got back into Djing after a 15 year break and as soon as i pressed that record button on Serato i was hooked again!!! At the beginning of the 90s i played old school techno and then house. Unfortunately my record collection has ended up as lost/damaged after such a long time and so i am looking for a source to purchase/download all these old house tunes on an electronic format .Anyone know where a good source might be?

Have u tried YouTube? If you run yr mobile 2 your pc you can record as wma then use a convertor to make mp3. I must stress I do not condone this in any way shape or form as it is totally illegal :b

You can also try track source.com. What kind of OLD SCHOOL are you looking for?

In addition to being illegal, the quality of the music on YouTube leaves a lot to be desired......most uploading to YouTube are not really worried about the sound of a track, just a place they can listen to a tune.....you would be better served going to Traxsource or Beatport or even Amazon,as the MP3 are usually quality and are between a dollar and a buck fifty. good luck in your quest for old school......hit me up at Ruffrob@gmail.com

Since my last post on this subject i did manage to scrape together quite a lot of old skool which i love playing but i never realised that there still is an underground house scheme. Loving stuff by people like shadow child and Erol Alkan. But there are so many genres that i love now that one day i am playing Drum n Bass and the next Reggae -Its good to be back!!!!
