sad innit?!

I now see from the website that is says Summer 2013. Have to say this is very irritating. I purchased the Novation Twitch in April on the basis I was going to get the latest software within 2 months or so.

I am beginning to think this is not a technical limitation but one of newer controller manufacturers putting pressure on Serato to hold back software updates to older hardware in some pointless excercise to drive sales of newer controllers. This is pointless because I bought the Twitch due to its small form factor something not offered by other more recent hardware that has Serator DJ exclusively.

I always assumed I was going to buy into Traktor but the retailler told me to look into Twich / Serato and I thought it was worth a punt - the *clearly* advertised update to Serato DJ clinched the purchase for me.

Since you have been so cavalier with dumping the advertised release schedule who's to say Summer 2013 doesn't become Autumn 2013 just as easily?

I just need to vent. I am so irriated I want to map the SP6 conrols to those cheap Akai midi controllers and now it is July 1st. Summer in my book.

What these other manufacturers need to understand is that we don't want to buy your controllers and preventing us from having the update isn't going to make us buy one. So whatever pressure they are putting on Serato I wish it would stop. The Twich is a bit unique amongst all the other ones out there. As I stated earlier in the thread the clincher for buying the Twitch and supporting Serato instead of NI was what I understood from the Serato website to be an crossgrade to Serato DJ from Itch about 2-3 months after my purchase. This has not transpired. Fool me once..........

I bought a Twitch a few months back based on the update too, it's sitting in it's box at the minute waiting for DJ to be released as I don;t want to go through two learning curves in such a short space of time.

Do we have a more finite timeframe than Summer 2013 yet? (baring in mind we are already in Summer).

Come on guys. Manage expectations, we've all been very patient. There's all this lovely Native instruments kit tempting me as I'm saddled with an old unstable piece of kit. I was hoping Serato DJ would be the thing that stopped me jumping ship. Give us an idea please?

For the record, I love the Twitch and have been as eager as you guys to have a jam on it in Serato DJ. Now, I know you don't want to hear this (and no, I still can't give you a date :), BUT, I'm happy to report that I have now had a couple of jams with the Twitch and Serato DJ and it is awesome.

It's almost like the Twitch was designed for Serato DJ before we'd even built it. Sorry for rubbing it in, but that gives you an indication of how close it is. Read into that what you will :)

Seeing we couldn't change the silk screen for the Twitch, you guys might be interested in this FAQ for how the Master FX unit will function in Serato DJ: serato.com

The file you can download is perfectly scaled to be printed, cut out and overlayed on the unit. Feel free to get 12 inch Skinz or whoever to print it up for you :)

Crashed after 30 minutes. Just suddenly zero control over faders or decks. Gone back to Itch.
