drag the small video screen all the way to right of your laptop screen. then click full screen. that should work.

it's a long shot, but have you minimized SSL to see if the window pops up in back of SSL?

try pulling up the task manager (CTRL ALT/APPLE) and see if the plug in is running

did you buy vsl already? i think you have to have a s/n, i don't think you can do full screen on the secondary screen in demo mode.

Do you have a secondary display connected to your computer?
If so, can you drag other applications and etc to the other display?

I have also had problems getting the fullscreen operate predictably.
The results include popping the main laptop into full grey, showing second desktop with no video output even though "fullscreen" is selected. this one is fabulous because you have to quit out of Serato and try it again.
That's right, I just took over from the opening DJ and the first thing I need to do is change to a conventional cd and restart Serato! when I restart the program I select "Video" and try to catch the little window and drag it to the middle of the screen
before it turns my laptop screen all grey and as I drag the vid screen around Scratch Live is putting out the most horrendous digital tearing sound I've ever heard. (That's why the conventional CD) meanwhile broadcasting my struggles with the second screen to the club.
I've had one conversation with support on this and the tech said plug in everything first before launching SL-V and "it will find the second monitor and go full screen" it doesn't.
This really needs to get fixed.

I have the same issue with my MAC.
I start Serato and then activate Video and it doesn't go to the secondary display. I have to go the set up screen and disable the plug in... minimize the program enough to see the desktop too, re-activate the plug-in and find the video output window, drag it to the secondary display, then hit full screen... what a pain.

Did you need to do the same thing with an older version of SSL?

When possible, try updating to the 1.8.2 version and see if it has any affect.
Are you using a Mac or PC?
What operating system version are you using?

Are you guys all on Windows?
Check this post from Nathan about a similar problem:
I've made a registry file which resets the window state back to what it is when you first install Video-SL. This can be found here: www.serato.com
Can you guys see if that registry file in the link above fixes the issue?

Ok, I figured out what it is and it is a reproducible problem: all you need to do to make this happen is quit ScratchLIVE while the Video-SL output window is minimized. Windows then pretends that the window is far far away and this is remembered for when Video-SL starts again.I've made a registry file which resets the window state back to what it is when you first install Video-SL. I actually just started using VSL again.. I bought it first came out but there were so many issues I waited til it was mostly resolved. So I can't remember if I had that issue before... it has been months since I played with it. I have been heavily working with it the past few weeks.
