Not a problem, give an update if you do get the drive cause im also interested in the drive but currently stuck with a macbook air and will get a macbook pro soon.

OK, I will
I just called the PC store, but it seems all suppliers in Germany, Belgium and Holland are out of stock.Need to call them back on Friday.

Somehow I always want some stuff which can´t be delivered yet :-/ And I hate waiting...

Im sure these things flew, that much space especially in an ssd drive and for the price is really crazy right now. 1tb ssds are in the $2000 range which is insane. Hopefully this causes a fast drop in prices in the near future. The return of local storage is finally happening

It definately will. Why should people buy a 1TB SSD for almost 4 times the price of crucials.
Backordering them would also bee too expensive, no one would buy them anyway, so the competitors need to drop the price so their SSD´s don´t need to be written off totally.

Finally the time of HDD´s is almost over and in some years we will be able to buy 1TB SSDs for less then € / $ 100,- :))
Especially for us DJ´s this is a feeling of relief while playing in a DJ booth with 2x1200 watts monitor speakers :p

What i want to so see is cheaper storage for the thinner laptops like the air and retina macbook, i want to get one but with me joining a record pool im getting high up with my music totals and the price of the higher capacity storage for the ssds on the smaller machines is still way to high. A 480gb ssd for my macbook air is almost 700 bucks, i could save a little more and get a whole new machine.

Hey Will08272,

I finally received it last Friday and I´m very satisfied with it.
I had 3 gigs now and my system is working much more stable, and super fast.
My boot ime of windows 7 is now 25 seconds, and within 32 seconds I am able to play with SDJ. The scrolling through the library is much faster and I also feel much more comfortable turning up the booth volume to the max. because windows/ SDJ is not stuttering. No audio drop outs anymore.

Windows was installed within 15 minutes and within 45 minutes all updates were loaded and installed. So if you have the opportunity, go for it.

I have a HP dv7, which has 2 internal HDD slots, so I installed now 1TB SSD and 1TB HDD.
Both with the same windows installation and software. The HDD boots about 1,25 minutes and 1,75 minutes to use SDJ. I paid € 488,- excl. VAT.

Thats great man, im waiting to see what these new macbooks offer. Im looking forward to throwing one of these in it. Hopefully this drive starts to bring down ssds faster.
