With Serato Dj intro I can open sub-crates and close them again only by using the controler. I've performed a test with a friend of line who is using Serato Dj and also the Denon MC2000, and in there the sub-crates cant be opened from the controler by using back/fwd buttons. Without this, I really dont see the point in buying the full version as I will lose a very important function. The idea of a controller for me is to avoid keyboard usage as much as possible, which onviously will not work if I cant open my sub-crates. Is there a solution foreseen for this big problem? I cant believe intro is better than the payed version.

I feel your pain. I have a pair of the Numark V7s and with ITCH I could collapse and expand iTunes sub-playlists by clicking on the scroll knob but I can't do this with the Denon MC-2000 and Serato DJ. I brought this up to Serato in another post awhile back and was told that they had no plans to change this in Serato DJ. It's annoying because I can use the controller to jump back and forth between iTunes playlists and the browser window but any time I want to expand a sub-playlist I have to reach for my laptop trackpad. I'd prefer it if I could do all my browser navigation using just the controller.

Indeed, still no response from the Serato team. What botters me the most is the fact that is working with Serato Dj Intro. There you can open and close subcrates, so the solution should not be far away.
