Auto Update songs in crates

Hi, I have been a long time user of many DJ software platforms and found that the one big feature I feel is missing from Serato DJ is the ability to automatically update the songs in a crate when new songs are added to my music folders. I have about 100 music folders and keep them all organized. I know I probably only update 5-10 of them regularly, but I think the software should scan the folders on startup and add any songs that may have been missed since last started.
I have tried to do crate rules, but the rule went across all crates and not specific to a crate.
Also, I wasn't able to easily identify how many songs the software sees in total. Each crate has a running count of songs, but with 100 crates, it would require doing math on all the folders to get a total.
Hopefully, this is either something many DJ's are experiencing and can add to my request, or it is something that me being new to the interface needs to learn how to do.
Thanks!!

I am really trying to push for these to be added to the program. There are a few workarounds out there, but nothing fully integrated in the program. If only we could get some of the third party logic in it would be great for managing the music.
How many people are having these same issues?

Itch-Sync and Alchimie Zinc
Try them out.
Now if either one was implemented into Serato that would be even better :)

i use sync tool which is not bad, only thing when u add any new file or files it has to re-read all your files that u sync already.

Its really annoying that we are forced to use crates. I got my own folder and file structure which i used for years. It would be nice if we could use our files just "as they are" right from our own folders, without syncing or "offline analyzing". Every other DJ software can do this also, why not Serato?

+100%. Come on already, there must be a way to set up crates to mirror folders, without using extra software.

That's simply not true.

Phatbob is correct.
Many dj programs allow users to browse folders in the same screen section as the playlists (mainly on left hand side), serato is not designed that way, yet you can still select files from folders using serato. There is a section between the "FILES" and "HISTORY" slots called "BROWSE". that might help you Enso.
But I think that an option to sync crates from within serato to folders would be the ideal solution to this issue.

Hmm, than tell me an software which cant do this? Traktor can do it, VirtualDJ can do it, even Freeware like Mixxx can do it...
I know this Rick. But thats not the way i can do my work. In this section there is not enough space to get a nice overview. You also cant see Tags, BPM and so on in the Browse-List.
Using crates might be ok for genre-specific DJs playing their house or hip-hop set for some hours. But for me as a wedding and gala DJ with almost 30000 tracks its just inefficient =(

Traktor requires pre-analysis of tracks just as SDJ does.
Apparently you don't understand how crates work. I have around that number of tracks in my library, and I play many genres.
Using folders is hideously inefficient by comparison, unless your metadata is incomplete, in which case, that's just lazy. With comprehensive metadata and clever use of crates, you can have a much more effective library.

I vote for smart crate features that allow such scanning
