I have a macbook pro with Mountain Lion 10.8.3 (version wasn't availble to select in drop down menu) with 10G of memory and am running ableton 8.4 (version wasn't available to select in drop down menu) with 2 pioneer MK1000s as well as an APC20. I have disabled the controller from within Serato's MIDI and when I'm playing two clips in the ableton deck it gets glitchy and jumps around in the bar/beat scroll, the audio gets choppy as well. I thought the problem might have been my RAM so I got more but that's not the issue. Is it because the SL1 USB isn't USB 2 and can't handle it?

Hi blondtron,

Are you using an external hard drive to play the ableton files? or are they stored internally?

How are your energy saving preferences? have you got the computer turned to never put the hard drive to sleep?

If you have any other devices such as a USB Hub try removing them or using a power adapter with them.

Let me know if any of that helps or if you have done these already.
