have you analysed the songs? If you have done that already and still get no grid you can set the start point yourself and then adjust the grid manually.
in offline mode press alt+space (to enter edit mode) and then X to set a start point, or in online mode press the set/clr button

Hi manjinahh,

Make sure you have Smart sync selected in the setup menu. If you do already, try reanalysing the file, let me know if it brings the beat grid up..

Do you think it might be because i changed all my songs to not read only? I did that recently cause they all had the lock symbol on them

Yeah if you recently changed permissions on your files and they are locked you will need to change them back, otherwise they won't store grid info.

Just make sure you can Read & Write to all files and you should be ok. If you edit grids on files in the internal drive do you have this problem still?
