Here is the situation. I won't be able to use my new laptop for a few days, since I have to figure out everything on it, install a lot of programs etc. I want to try out Scratch Live on my desktop for the timebeing.
Can I install the program on my PC and use it with the SL1 and after a while install it on my laptop as well and use the SL1 hardware box ? I remember finding a topic that was related to this, but it said something about the Video option I suppose. Anyway, I want to obey the rules and not get program-lock or get Serial Number not-valid. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Since your SL1 hardware is the dongle for the software, which you can download as much as you want and install everywhere you'd like, I'd say you are supposed to install it a few times. Let's say, SL1 is the serial/key for using it...

Hi harlej,

If you are just using Scratch LIVE, you can install it multiple times on as many computers as you like.

Nick - just to clear thing up:
I'm going to use only Scratch Live with SL1 box of course. Out of curiosity - What CAN'T I use on many computers ? Is it the Video plugin ?

That's right, just the Video SL plugin. You can install it on another machine, but you must de-authorise it first.

what about in a situation like this www.scratchlive.net

If the drive or laptop dies, will installing vsl on another computer automatically de-authorize the dead laptop that originally had vsl on it?
