Can you see the two virtual decks in Serato DJ Intro with the Vestax Typhoon?
What are your computer spec's?
Does anything work on the controller?

Specs:

Windows 7 home premium 64 bit
4gb ram
Intel core 2 duo CPU

the controller works perfectly but whenever I load up serato dj intro, the volume meters stay lit, the loop buttons stay lit. all the buttons that usually light up when pressed stay lit. the only thing that functions is the song list button and the directional buttons to load the songs.

Strange, the Vestax Typhoon is a plug in play device which doesn't require any drivers or firmware to run.
When you say it works perfectly, are you using it with other software also?

There maybe some interference, do you have any other MIDI devices connected? Are you using a bluetooth or wireless mouse?

No other midi devices are connected & I don't use either of those on my laptop

My bad, i've found an ASIO driver here for windows, try installing this: help.vestax.co.jp

I've installed the ASIO drivers already.

Could you try using the Typhoon on another computer with Serato Dj Intro by any chance and report back any changes if any?

Sounds like there could be an issue with the Typhoon. It's strange that it works with Virtual DJ no problem though. Could you possibly go to the shop and test with another Typhoon on your computer to know for sure? If that one doesn't work we may have to look deeper at what could be causing this issue.

Are you 100% sure you are using Serato DJ Intro and not Serato DJ? They are two different programs.

Well in the case of it working with Virtual DJ but not Serato DJ Intro i'm a bit stumped. It's a plug and play device, again try out another with your laptop in the shop and see if it's computer related... Or the controller.

I took my laptop to my local best buy that had the typhoon for sale. I tried using one that was being sold as an open box item. It worked fine with virtual DJ, but I still didn't get dj intro to work.

Sounds like there is something, driver or audio wise that is blocking the Typhoon from being recognized by your computer. What other audio software do you have installed? What other usb or wireless devices do you have installed. Note* These don't have to be plugged in for the conflicts to occur, just installation can effect it.
