When starting up Serato Itch I get the message that the program failed to update the firmware - ERROR #1

Also, when I plug in the Xone:DX, many of the lights on the channels 1 & 2 LEDs and the mains peak and stay lit as well as the LEDs surrounding the left jog wheel, load, layer, play and cue all stay lit before even plugging the USB into the computer.

Thanks for any help.

I'm going to try this and see what happens. I'll report back soon.

Worse is happening to me right now. I was installing itch 1.7 and then started the app and was going for the firmware update. The firmware update launched and then I got a wonderfully short bluescreen and an immediate computer restart. Upon restart I got the bluescreen again, and again. So finally, I unplugged the DX, entierly, restarted the computer and it finally started. But !! when I replugged the DX, all leds turned on, and stayed on... And now neither traktor nor itch seem to recognize the DX, on the other hand, windows xp does recognize the DX. And when I now launch Itch, it wants to retry the firmware update, which always leads to that damn error 1 message.
Is it not possible to force the firmware onto the DX ? without having to use the Itch updater...

Okay ^^ I've worked my way around my firmware updating trouble. All I did was installing itch 1.7 on my W7 64bits and then I didn't get the firmware update error anymore. Firmware updated, leds machine workin fine and the world is pink again. :)

hope this helped.

OK - So I went with the formula from above. ^^

First thing I did was plug in the USB on my controller to the computer and went to my device manager where I found the Xone:DX USB and MIDI drivers. The USB had the yellow triangle and exclamation point over it. I checked and it had the most updated driver.

I uninstalled both the USB and MIDI drivers. Then I uninstalled Serato Itch 2.2.0.

I restarted the computer.

Installed Serato Itch 2.0.0

Plugged in the USB and had the firmware error #-1 message pop up. Then I clicked the update firmware button and it successfully updated the firmware.

I opened up Serato and everything is working fine again. I will update to Itch 2.2.0 soon and see how that goes.

I haven't had any luck getting Itch 2.2.2 working at all. It always crashes right after Itch starts up.

Thanks Solid Shift.
