I just purchased a Wego as a backup unit to my main unit. I plugged everything in and everything seems to be working fine except for the mic. I literally can not turn the volume up on the mic (on the unit itself) at all b/c I get tremendous amount of feedback. I see in the setup screen there is a "mic sensitivity" or "mic volume" knob. That was turned all the way up and it is grayed out so I can't make it lower. Is there any way for me to turn that down as I am confident that with that lowered, I will be able to use the mic level on the wego without an issue.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Looked in both manuals and didn't see any way to change it. Still need help.

Hey Certified Quality Entertainment,
Unfortunately the DDJ-WeGO's mic is not software controllable. Those software levels are greyed out as they aren't used by this controller.
Tell me more about the "tremendous amount of feedback" you are experiencing? How do you have it set up? Are you using the mic in line with the speakers?
Regards

I figured that the software does not control the mic volume as the unit itself has a mic volume knob, but could the fact that the software, even though grayed out, can impact the mic level on the unit since it is maxed out.
I had the Wego plugged into USB as normal, DJ intro works fine as it should. I had my RCF powered speakers hooked up through the RCA to XLR. No issues with sound at all when putting up the master volume and speakers were playing as they should...no problems thus far.
I plug my mic in via the 1/4" on the unit. I had the mic volume knob on the wego turned up less than 10% and I get a huge humming feedback from my speakers, so I turn the mic level down immediately.
Figure the volume knob starts around 6 oclock, i put it up to around 7 o clock and speak though the mic and it is insanely loud compared to the output of the music playing through. If i put it up to 8 or 9 oclock and the feedback starts right up again. I have 1 other mic I can try which I haven't yet but I've used the original mic many times on other mixers without any issues.
What do you think it could be?

I'd suggest taking the DDJ-WeGO into the shop you brought it, also take the mic you were using and test it out. It could be a hardware fault. There isn't anything in the software that can control it. The software being set at 6+ is a bug which is logged and will be fixed at some stage in the future. I can see how you would make that link to the software possibly being internally set to high but there is no link between the two. Try closing the software and using the mic. What is the result?
