Sixty Eight Needs Button Repair For THIRD TIME!?!

So I had had my Sixty Eight back for repair 2 times already and it seems that I might have to return it a 3rd time. The EFX on and off button work about 50% of the time. I have to push it really hard to get it to engage or disengage the mixer EFX. This is pretty frustrating on 2 levels as it is hard to get something to use in its place while it is out for repair and 2nd that a $2600 DJ mixer has been so troublesome. I will say in the past Rane had been super quick on fixing it the past 2 times to their credit. I am NOT hard on the switches at all and I am the only one that plays on this mixer.
My one question is should I try some Deoxit on the button first? Will it get under the button and lubricate the switch or should I try to make some arrangements to return it again???
Any thoughts from the Rane guys on here???

Hey Scott,
I'm sorry man:( That sucks.
Unfortunately, getting Deoxit on the switch is not a very easy task. It would require you to take the top plate off and unscrew quite a few screws.
Definitely possible though. As long as the switch still clicks spraying Deoxit on/it it should definitely work. I would go ahead and try to do surgery on it yourself.
If you fail for whatever reason send it back and we'll fix it for you.
Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to help you.

I am at work now and when I get home tonight I am going to look at the mixer and look at a few Youtube Vids about taking the Sixty Eight apart and see if it is something that I would want to do myself.
Thank you for responding to my post so quickly Zach.
I am most likely going to try to return it again to have to fixed as I am not sure how much warranty time is left on it just in case it is the switch is bad!

About to send my mixer in first of next week and not very happy about a $70.00 shipping charge to get it to Rane in 3 days from North Carolina. I am probably more upset to be without my mixer again for over a week. I am hope after this time the buttons will last for a good long while as I was told i have 5 weeks left on the warranty. I can only imagine what the repair for non warranty work is going to cost if it needs it again!

Isnt warranty work extended? For example if buttons are fixed the repair is warantied for extended time?

I am not sure that Rane would call it that but 3 repairs is a bit excessive for the same problem IMO.
I do not think that is how it works but I guess i could be hopeful that is does!!
I am lucky I am able to borrow a friends 57 but i am dreading using it while my Sixty Eight is gone!

Buttons are a def issue.
Yeah 3 times is a bit much and I am def not hard on them at all. I have not had a chance to send it in yet with all the work I have to do. I am gonna ship it off after this next weekend. Rane is usually good about getting it back quickly thou . I got my friends 57 to use but i am dreading not having my 68 for my weekend gigs while it is gone!

Well $87.53 later my mixer is on its way for repair. Hopefully they get to it quick so I am only without it for one weekend! Fingers Crossed!
