hi new to the forum, will be getting SSL very soon. Really enjoyed reading all your helpful threads etc. Seems like a very resourceful forum. Great to see.
Anyway:
I record these cool compilations of my dj sets onto my HD, using a software sequencer. Normally they are massive .WAV files. Then burn it to CD.
Is there software, to mark loads of points....so when i burn it to cd....i can skip through all the tracks?
i'm a PC XP user.
Thanks very much

hi ezb4u,
do you mix each song into the next? If not then you could do a pause detection and define the tracks that way. But in the more likely scenario that you're going for gradual mixes, your only option is editing the file and bouncing sections to .wavs.
In nero 6 you can load a long audio file into a CD image, and right click it to bring up the nero editor, find and select each section of the file you want to be a single track and in the edit menu you can copy your selection to a file. Then make an audio CD using the resulting files.

In Peak you just put markers where you want CD tracks to start, plus one at the beginning and end of the file. Then you hit 'convert markers to regions' and hit 'burn cd'. Works flawlessly.
Alternatively, you can chop the whole recording into seperate files, and burn them to CD in iTunes (with 'silence between tracks' set to zero).
