it is about time.
along with the 1/4 inch headphone input, my 57 has an additional 1/8 inch headphone input. do all the 57's have this?
i know ppl whose 1/4 inch headphone jacks got loose during a gig, so to me this sounds like a backup headphone jack. i don't remember seeing this on other 57's.

Here's another FYI... you'll need it if you use anything other than a 57...
The DJ last saturday @ my residency would have been fucked if i didnt show up with my 57.

bandoma, buy yourself a can of De-Oxit cuz those B buttons are bound to "stick" eventually.

i got some already. i don't use the buttons though. havent really messed with all the features for the 57. i dont even like triggering the cue points with the buttons.

You know what's funny is that when using the B buttons, the cues trigger perfectly. But when using the keyboard, the triggers have a lag, sometimes yes and sometimes no.
I used to think it was because I had an old laptop, but it still does this with the MBP.
You use it at Sutra now?

i agree, the buttons do trigger perfectly. i hate the lag that i have on my keyboard esp when i trigger cues to do acap blends on the fly.
my fear is that ill be dependent on the features of the 57. id like to avoid that.
we're still using the 56 at sutra. they only bring the 57 when its requested in someone's rider.

I hear ya. Since I no longer have an SL1, I have to bring my mixer with me at club gigs. Fortunately 99% of the clubs have no issues with letting me hook up the 57, or they have an SL 1 installed. I love being able to use the 57, though.
I'd say take advantage of the 57's features. It makes mixing and creativity so much better.
