How replace music from video easily

Dazel 9:42 AM - 20 July, 2008
Hi

I wanna if is possible to completely remove the music from video and replace by the same track but better sound quality and them match sound and video easily.

I know serato have this option but video and track rarely match perfectly

I'm asking this because lot of video from my12inch and djvideosource have unplayable sound quality and cant be found in promo only.

Also, I'm using a mac and if you know better source a video feel free to post

Thank you

Yep. Its not always easy, but you can do it with pretty much any editing program. I personally like Sony Vegas (even though I use a Mac) but alot of people here like Final Cut.

you definitely need something like Vegas Video or Final Cut to be able to stretch and oompress video and/or audio. Sometimes the audio from a video file is 'faster' than the CD release (or whereever you source your audio from) and this can cause the audio/video to not sync up

if your having problems with imovie don't bother with fcp.

Vegas is what you need. Super easy and works on a Mac via bootcamp and Windows XP.

i use vegas for this. select the audio, right click, go to properties and enter the new length in (00:00;00). it should lengthen or shorten the audio to match the audio in the video. you can't timestretch the audio and the video in one swoop (that i'm aware of). so i stretch or shorten the the audio, then select the video and shorten or stretch by percent. i did this with my last mix... it was 10min 30sec. to get it on youtube it has to 10min. i adjusted the audio (as above) from 10:30 to 10:00. for the video i devided 10min by 10min 30sec which gave me 1.03. entered that percentage into the video properties as a timestretch and BLAM! audio and video matched perfect at 10 min. the mix is a little faster but... that's what happens :)

I use Final Cut Pro for this, I would stay clear of iMovie, pretty basic and not a lot of options there

imovie 11 is very easy to do it. i do it all the time. just did a intro clean the motto and a dirty but better quality. in imovie 11 if the time is the same mpst of the time its drop and sync.
