8-way joystick in custom groups?!

8-way joystick in custom groups?!

I really would like to have the 8-way joystick from the effects group also for the custom groups. Then i could use the joystick for the auto-Loops efficiently (different loop length).

Is it somehow possible? Otherwise this is a feature suggestion :)

you can set the joystick up to control 4 things in the other groups but not 8.

One work around to this is to set up 4 on one joystick and another 4 on the other joystick so now you have your 8 auto loops assigned to the sticks and set them up to work on whatever deck is selected with the Deck 1/2 button

I am not sure whehter this is a good idea cause it will actually be difficult to directly hit the diagonal switch cause I assume the diagonal switch is just a combination of two of the basic directions. This will at least add some added latency cause you would have to delay triggering the function until you are absolutely sure that not one of the 4 basic directions are triggered.

Does that make sense?

another thing you can do is use a midi controller and assign the auto loops to that and have access to them no matter what group you are in.

seems like a really silly idea if you ask me..
