I have a macbook running 10.6.8 and Itch 2.2.2. I have tried just about everything I can think of including looking on your boards. My beat grids will not save. All music is saved on the hard drive of my computer.
I am using mostly MP3 files but WAV and AAFC files will not save either. I have the "protect library" disabled. I have tried ejecting each track after creating the beat grid. I just wasted another 2 hours setting beat grids thinking "This time they will save". Nope another fooling endeavor. Please help me. I have files ready to send you if you want to give it a try. I am sure they will save for you.
Thanks
Ken

Hi DJ SonicKronic,
I am interested in the way you've got your external hard drive formatted? Often we see users having permissions issues writing to files on external hard drives that have not been formatted properly.
I've uploaded the first track you sent me which i edited a beatgrid in ITCH 2.2.2 and its working fine for me. Let me know if you are able to load it up and see the beatgrid.

Confirm this, as this got me. You must be in beat grid edit mode i.e. Alt-Spacebar and then ENTER when you are done for the grid to save, otherwise it just saves it on a per session basis and it is never saved.

Hi relnorm,
Yes you are right, if you eject the track however, you will notice at the bottom of the screen you'll see a message about "writing to tags" this is when it writes to the file. If you load another track without ejecting the track it won't save the data

I thought you had to ctrl - click grid edit then it locks it and theres a padlock symbol appears on the left of the track, it also says grid locked instead of grid edit.
Thats how I do it

I just know from wasting my time setting beat warp markers in loads of tracks only to exit and come back and find they were not there. Then I realised you had to be in grid edit mode with the green bar before they would save, otherwise they only last for the session.

Yes, thats a good way to ensure they aren't edited by accident too.
