How do I control the fader on Serato Video using my DN-HC5000 controller and a DN-X500 mixer?

Hey ObiWanKenobiAZ,

Thanks for your post. You will need to MIDI map the Serato Video virtual crossfader to the crossfader on your Mixer. However, you will need to check if your mixer has MIDI functionality. You can try MIDI mapping the crossfader by opening the Serato Video panel:

click on the 'F' tab to reveal the crossfader -> select the 'MIDI' tab -> click on the Serato Video crossfader -> when the MIDI signal turns brown move the crossfader on your mixer.

If the midi signal does not turn Green, your Mixer will not have MIDI functionality and you will not be able to Map the virtual crossfader to your mixer.

Let me know how you go with this.

Cheers.

Unfortunately when I click the 'F' tab to reveal the crossfader it doesn't show a 'MIDI' tab for me to open. So that's where I get stuck.

Hey ObiWanKenobiAZ,

After clicking on the F Tab, click the MIDI tab in the top right hand corner of the Scratch Live screen next to the Setup tab.

Cheers.

Oh yeah then that's the problem. I have Itch, not Scratch.

Hey ObiWanKenobiAZ,

Oh okay. Unfortunately you will not be able to do this as the ITCH software does not have MIDI functionality. In addition, the mixer that is attached to your DN-HC5000 is not supported by the ITCH software, however still compatible.

Cheers.
