After analyzing a iTunes M4A file on Itch, the release date disappears. To replicate this, take any iTunes M4A file that has a release date (all iTunes store files do) and make sure release date is checked in the iTunes view options so you can see it. After analyzing the file in Itch, delete the file from your iTunes library and add it again. You will notice that the release date is gone. This has been an since Itch 2.0 and I assumed it would have been fixed, but now, after a year, I am not sure if you are aware of this bug.

Hey Arnab B.,
I'll have a look into it and if I can re-produce it i'll log it as a bug. Thanks for letting us know.

Hey Arnab B.,
Sorry for the late reply, yes this seems to be a bug, i've been able to reproduce it and it's been logged with our development team. Unfortunately ITCH 2.2.2 will be the last release of ITCH as Serato DJ is the follow on for ITCH users via upgrades coming throughout the year.
As you are a Denon HC5000 user you may not see this bug fixed unfortunately as this controller will not be supported moving forward with Serato DJ.
Could you explain what issues this bug creates for you so i can log that info for our product team?
Regards

That is unfortunate since this bug has caused issues with my iTunes library. The release date tag is part of all iTunes purchased files and allows you to sort songs by the exact date it was released, as opposed to the year. Initially, this bug wiped out years too, but now it just wipes out the release date.
So if this bug is addressed in Serato DJ and I use Serato DJ to analyze my files instead of ITCH, will I have beatgrids and BPMs in ITCH?

At this stage this bug is currently also in Serato DJ. I've only recently logged this so I couldn't say when this issue will be resolved. However we hope to bring a fix for this in a future release.
In theory yes this should work :)
