I've searched the forums and the faq.
Does anyone know if this setup will definitely work or not?
I know that the minimum processor is rated at a G4 500mhz. I've seen a bunch of people ask whether or not this setup will work but haven't seen anyone confirm it.
help a brother out?

don't know about a powerbook, but i know someone on here is using a g4 500 (search for g4 500). this setup will probably work for now, but when things like plug-ins get added in the (near?) future, these specs will probably be too low. if this is a machine you are going to buy, save up you money. for $500 you can get a mac mini thats almost 3 times faster.

It works on my G4 500.
As matter of fact I did my New Years gig with this same set up, I did not have access to my PowerBook (long story)..... minus the DN-S3500's - Just insert a pair Technics 1200 MK5's.
It rocked all night not one problem what so ever ;-)

cool-
i own the powerbook g4 550...i figure if it works on a ibook G4 500 than it should work for me. i just needed confirmation that serato would work before i bought it. Just as long as i can mix and scratch then i'm alright. thanks for replying.
