Hey felixcortina@gmail.com,

There isn't really a "proper" latency, its something that can be really varied when comparing different computers.

Check this: serato.com

Quote:
Serato DJ processes audio data in small chunks. When smaller chunks are used, the movement of the platter is translated into audio more often, which results in a lower overall system latency. However, this requires more processing power and therefore a higher CPU load, so lower buffer size settings require a more powerful computer to produce uninterrupted audio.

Lowering the latency will result in tighter hardware-software response, but will increase the load on your computer and may result in audio dropouts on lower spec computers.

Basically, I recommend that you start on the far right hand side. If you are having dropouts and sound issues at that setting, we will have to troubleshoot other things. If it working well though, try moving the USB buffer to the left, then test.

Ideally, you would want to have the USB buffer set to the furtherest left you can, without having audio issues.

Let me know how you go.

So this issue began when you updated your firmware? Do you know which version you were running before?

Were you experiencing no issues whatsoever with your TM4 and Serato DJ Intro previously?

Was Reloop able to provide you your the previous firmware version just to test?

Did you try adjusting the USB buffer size all the way to the right?
felixcortina@gmail.com 10:26 PM - 16 January, 2013
The problem starts from the firmware update. v15 is the old version.
reloop v21.v15 had only provides USB recognition problems.
If I set the buffer at the end of the right, but still no sound

No, unfortunately we are still working on support for Windows 8, however I am not sure this issue is going to be OS specfic, so downgrading your machine to Windows 7 will not help.

Can you try checking Serato DJ on your other machine? You are allowed to activate in on a back up computer.

This way we can test that is not an issue with the controller, and more that we will have to further optimize your computer to get it working better.

I recommend checking this out: serato.com

Go through the Windows 7 section and try and make any changes you can make similarly on Windows 8.

I tested with other machines in win7
with serato dj intro has not failed, and unable to back up my serato dj? works with my account activation?
surprisingly, the problem appears after firmware upgrade.
thanks for your help

Hey, I am little confused about what you said here:

So do you mean to say that Serato DJ Intro works without problem on your Windows 7 machine, but Serato DJ does not.

Were you having an issue with the cue mix?
felixcortina@gmail.com 10:35 PM - 20 January, 2013
My machine is Win8, it does not work or serato dj or serato dj intro, either.
I tested with win 7 but only dj intro, and there was no problem.
If my problem is the cue mix
my controller works well, I think my problem is seraro win within eight
how I can disable serato dj?, and how to do to use it on other machines?

Sorry, I am unsure what you mean with this statement, are you able to try explaining in a different way please? Perhaps if thats hard, you could show me with a video of the problem perhaps?

Check out the manual here to learn how to deactivate your Windows 8 computer: serato.com

Let me know if you get it working on your Windows 7 computer.
