Hello Chris,
First check to make sure you are using a 32bit version of Vista by clicking on the start menu in the lower left corner, right clicking on 'Computer', and choosing 'system properties'.
Look to see if your running 32bit or 64bit next to where your computer specs are.
If your running a 64bit version you will have to downgrade your operating system to 32bit.
If you are using a 32bit OS then you will need to go through the installation again using version 1.7.4 or higher, making sure that the SL1 interface is plugged in prior to running through the install.
Let us know how you get along.

Hello Chris,
Please make sure your installing the 1.9.2 version with the Rane device connected.
If it doesn't work on one port try installing it on every other port.
If your still having issues try this:
1. Shut down any program you have open.
2. Click on the Start menu in the lower left corner of your desktop.
3. Click on All Programs.
4. Click on the Serato folder.
5. Double click the 'Update Driver' link.
If it doesn't work on the current port, plug into another port and follow the instructions again.
Let us know how you get along;)

The problem is not the Windows 7 OS.
We believe its a compatibility issue between the bios of your computer and the chipset on these i processors.
Did you try the other suggestions on the FAQ including optimizing your machine?
