Control button assignment question...

sweetL 10:01 AM - 18 May, 2008
Searched, no findy...

So i can set pitch adjust to j1 / j2, but to the buttons?

Id like to be able to mimic the d+f / e+r and g+h / t+y key effect.

Basically iv set myself up a group for one deck mode especially, got it all set up so i can handle effects (using nik39's aux-in tip), instant double, scroll tracks etc and not have to change group all the time.

However, i might want to adjust pitch a touch for the deck im using to instant double to, if for example, i want to bring in a slightly faster track for the next mix. Small pitch adjustments like i was using the d+f keys, but i cant seem to find the control assignment for it...

What kind of effect is that?

You need to be in internal mode to adjust the pitch, you know that, right?

d+f, e+r are pitch adjust buttons in internal mode.

g+h, t+y are pitch shove buttons in internatl mode.

iv set up a group specifically for instant doubling (a mix-with-one-deck mode). i want to assign pitch adjust and pitch shove control to the buttons, allowing me to alter the pitch of the currently playing track (which will be from the right deck, the one which iv instant-doubled to, the one in internal mode).

Ahh.. you're talking about the keys on the keyboard, I thought you meant some "key effect" (effect on the key of a song ;) ).

lol no... haha

i find it a bit odd you cant map that to control buttons tho, you can put pitch on the j1 / j2 thingies, but not on buttons. boo.
