Or will be shortly...I just threw my money down on the 57 SL and waiting to get it in. Been foolling around with my buddies at a club and the video plugin and am loving it. I noticed a little lague on the video with his system at first but he supped it up with a Mac Book Pro and it seems 95% successful which is great to me. I just bought Serato SL (SL-1) Finally ab =out 2 months ago. This is about 6 years after purchasing Final Scratch version 1.0. I went on to buy FS2, Torq and also Torq Xponent - I like Xponent as well. I all though I am happy with all mu purchase thus far, as a DJ who prefers vinyl I have to say Serato has impressed me the most and allows me the most control and creativity in my sets, xpionent comes close but it lacks the vinyl feel - I have yet to open up my Torq with Vinyl box - ha ha. I guess I am obssessed with vinyl emulation hardware and software. Any way I never had any problem with FS1 but obvious the features (and improved sound quality and level) Serato offers clearly blows it out of the water.
Any way I just wanted to say hey and I look forward to reading tips and sharing ideas. Speaking of which, its porbablt been asked, and I know someone told me no, but can the 57 SL be used like other MIDI contollers and control other software? I think I read some place its nto actually MIDI but I was wondering if there are plans to allow other developers to use this hardware or if it is just going to be exclusive to Serato. Just curious.
