This happened to me couple times already, I did all Optimize Your Windows PC tips, my controller works great and flawless at home, but sometimes when I connect it in the club and try to play a song, sound crackles, track skips, song graphic image in dj intro jumps and its not steady, and generally program slows down and goes crazy ..... very irritating ... yesterday the party was about to start and was not able to play any music because of the this ... only thing that helped was changeing a place and moving the laptop and controller to a different dj table and connecting the hardware in a different place ... so my question is whether club noisy environment, strong bass speakers, other devices can cause malfunction... is it a problem with my laptop or the controller? any suggestions? thanks!

Hey,

strong bass speakers (...) can cause laptop male function.
Probably it has nothing to do with the reloop TM2.
The TM2 is built for professional use.
I use it in an really loud & noisy enviroment (function one sound system).
My suggestion: Try a different laptop or a laptopstand.

hey,

my buffer is set to 5 ms, changing latency wasn't making any difference..

and I don't think my laptop is causing problem, because when it happened I tried to switch TM2 off and program Was working properly in the internal mode... after turning TM2 program went crazy again... like I said it dosen't haappen all the time, only certain places... but it makes me worry everytime I'm heading to play a gig in a new place.... for me it looks like amplifiers? speakers? or something is causing magnetic field that radiates and causes malfunction... but I might be wrong... any suggestions? is TM2 field protceted? maybe grounding would help?

sup Mutek

whenever u change your "DJ intro" / "DJ" latency , make sure u also changed "Reloop ASIO Driver" latency, otherwise it may cause distortion in data streamin.
I don't know if magnetic field from ur monitors or rtv equipment can affects badly on controller, mine TM4 stands in front of old 17" crt. As u noticed usb cable is already protected by "ferrite pearl" designed to protect & reduce noises in usb devices.

This appears to be a very common problem which Reloop themselves are not taking seriously. I did extensive work even down to a clean Windows 7 install on a seperate desktop PC and had the same issue with the latest driver, firmware and also in VDJ as well as Serato Intro 1.07, 1.08 and 1.09.

Check the Reloop forum. support.reloopdj.com

A lot of unhappy Reloop customers including me, although I've returned mine for a full refund and will just buy a reliable Pioneer. The TM4 is excellent and has great features....when it works. When it doesn't don't expect any useful support or customer service from Reloop!!

By the way the laptop I installed the Reloop on has been using Scratch Live with my SL3 box for 5 years without any issues at all. My resident DJ sets are 4.5 hours long and Serato Scratch live never let me down. I couldn't get one mix out of the Reloop TM4 without cracking, track slowdown and just general performance.

And let's be honest, if a controller lets you down because of "loud bass speakers" (which I think is a load of rubbish as it's never affected Scratch Live for me) then what use is it as a controller unless you're a wedding DJ?

I did the same thing... I tried to work with a completly different, new laptop and I experienced a same thing.... I don't know If it's relevant but I noticed that this happened when air conditioning in the club was turned on... and let's be honest dropping temperature from 25 C to let's say 18-20 C shouldn't affect any professional equipment... I was forced to play the music from my iphone... after 10 minutes program started working normaly again....

and just like Richie Tee I was using the same laptop with Scratch Live SL1 in the past and never had any issues... again any suggestions? is there a way to fix this problem or I have to think about refund and buying something instead? I'll try to make the same post at reloop forum..

here's another video showing the malfunction...

I've had the tm 4, but i sold it cause i was sick if making serato all over the board, without
being able to create the softwware that it needed....., but the tm4 is a very nive product for the money.....i won't call it pro......that's none of the digicontrollers made out of one pieve.....but those platters were great and solid , also using traktor. Besisdes my denon 3900 and real turntables i can honestly say that i don't know better platters than that one and if serato and reloop had wiated en cooperated it would be a succes... and a temperature drop doesn't give problems...... If i benchmark my pc it is 60degrees warmer in 15 minutes......
I''ve never seen a drup of water(except from the watercooling).... I never had your problems....not with serato vdj-pro, traktorpro... indeed 512ms maxxxxxx......, but the reloop is build in a way that it's almost impossible to let a lot of external circumstnances influence the inside. And the inside is a lot warmer ... Did you toch any metal from the plugs during the temp drop.... Did you sweat a lot.... The x-fader ain't very wel protected.
How long was your usb??... max 5 meter is 2.0 And with a laptop it's very criticall.... The whole systems runs on 500mA , but this seems more like an software/systeem problem , then. What kind of laptop did you use...a new one van be 500euro's or 3000....
I wactched that forum often and nobody had a problem using traktor. How abouit the cooling of your computer......and which proc....i7....did you put off multithread.
BuWhat do you wanna buy next now you got your money back.... and what is your budget. The only interesting is the pioneer ddj-sx.... or if you have more to spend denon and some turntables.........
