but why,they just hold off cause they want people to run out and buy 57s,that bull...i love my 56 and hate the 57,i just want video with the box...i use other software for video mixing now but i hate it,its not serato...im just sick of this stupid wait just cause they wanna make a couple of more dollars off of people. i know its a biz. but damn.

Many people seem to think that, and that's fine, but it's not the case and it's not that simple.

not to argue,but it is that simple...the sl box works just fine with vdj but vdj sucks.

It's not a matter of the soundcard, Video-SL is tightly integrated with the 57's hardware and controls.

i understand that but they can just remove that part of the features from the plug-in. im sayin when the video sl first came out and even before,they said they would make a plugin for the sl1 and they were workin on it,it just seems to me that they just gave up on it and just expect people to get a 57 if they want it.

I agree with the new tony little a little bit, I have the 57 and an empath rotary along with an sl-1 and I hate the fact that to do video I have to pull out the empath and put in the 57, i guess the ultimate for me would be to make a rotary 57 :)

i honestly think there working on an sl-2 box for the video and when it comes out they'll price it just right that you might as well buy the 57 anyway,like 8 or $900...i dont know who the hell tony little is,im just tryin to make a point and i wanted to bring up the discussion again cause everybody seemed to of left it alone when its a big deal for some of us getting into video,i been using vdj with the serato box for now but i hate it,its nothin like serato...

Then go out and buy a 57. There is so much more to the 57 than just serato and a 56 combined. Deal with it, they've said that the first version of VSL WILL NOT SUPPORT the SL-1. If you don't like it, use VDJ or buy some DVJs.

the fact is: video-sl cant rock as hard as it does, if it wasnt controlled by the fader controls like it is.

you want crappy difficult to control video mixing, use vdj.

your options if you want control like video-sl gives you are:

1. video-sl + ttm57
2. 2xpio dvj1000's.

So do they even have a guess on when it will work with the SL-1? I use a Pioneer DJM-800 and love it. I do want to start mixing videos though but not enough to make me change to a TTM57. I have a TTM56 for home practice but that doesn't really help me now does it.

i'm sure they'll have an estimate as soon as they decide that they want to re-write the entire program from the ground up. i believe i read that somewhere in the forum.....good luck finding it.

tell you what green t, heres an idea.

go and figure out how much an equivalent setup would cost you. i mean, the ability to mix + scratch video, cut and control with the crossfaders, upfaders, etc.

go figure that out, post the price on here, THEN moan about the price of sl video.

WTF, who's moaning?!? Especially "about the price of sl video"?!?! When did I ever say anything bad about SL and anything about money? I said I use a TTM56 and a DJM-800 but would like to be able to use Video SL on my DJM-800 using the SL-1.

Sorry bud with the release of SL 1.9 and Video SL 1.1 they have added support for the SL 1 and MP 4. But "Why would they do that, there's no point. completely no point"
