Can't remember, but now that there's an official "Serato DJ Feature Suggestions" here I've gone ahead and started making individual feature requests and have started with all the features I want/need that ITCH has and are missing from SDJ.

Yes, Serato sees this, and my guess is that we'll see many of these features reinstated in DJ 1.1/1.5 (or whatever the next major upgrade to the software is). I predict we'll see it in the spring when they roll out support for the other Itch controllers.

P.S. The effects triggering is painful. Have to use shift to go between effects and them it's not as easy to trigger. Just saying...

Hey guys, we agree too! We are aiming to add these in updates to Serato DJ for sure.

What else from ITCH would you like to see in Serato DJ?
So far we've got the following on our 'to-add' list :
- Autoplay
- Dedicated Video View Mode
- Day Mode

Exactly. What would possess developers to delete features on a supposed upgrade in the first place is mind boggling.

I don't think they knew they were there.

Same thing happened going from VSL to Serato Video--for one missing feature I had to link to the old VSL manual for a developer to even believe that it had existed.

There's pressure from everywhere to merge SDL & SSL, so eventually they'll wise up & find a way to keep Rane happy & do it.

We all would like to see Serato DJ have EVERYTHING itch 2.2 had with the enhancements that serato DJ brings.

Serato DJ has been a major downgrade from itch 2.2.

We want serato DJ to be an upgrade by including EVERYTHING ITCH 2.2 HAD.

Add Tempo matching display and Beat Matching display to the Extended view, or wider waveform display in horisontal display.

Or in the best of worlds, make the GUI user adjustable much like the Adobe software in CS6, that would be awsome.

What are you missing from ITCH in SDJ 1.2???

-The 3/4 roll with repeter (impossible with delay, but the delay is a great sampler with loop mode).
-Some details on the sp6 (individual routing, sync when switching banks).
-(VCI 380) Ribbon don't control loop size anymore on roll/loop mode.
-Back and FWD button don't open crate anymore...
-The lofi crusher FX, distorsion is great but it's not the same effect.
-Day/night mode.
-The waveform color sync with EQ easter eggs wich needed a simple Shift + alt + ctrl and clic on waveform with the 2.2 version and now we must re-enter the whole morse-code ^^
-Tremolo, even if the Filter LFO is a great alternative (it's a Traktor's gater like).
-The slicer quantize value on screen.
-Rec option, but if you guys have a VCI 380, Vestax provide a free Rec software with a lot of features (AIFF, Wav, FLAC, Ogg, mp3.... individual input rec...), EZ ROK (help.vestax.co.jp)

IMO (VCI 380) : The saved loop trigger, would be better if the default is jump to and the loop activation with shift no ?

this one is not so important for me ^ ^ I have not got used to having to press shift to jump on the loop.

Also it would be nice that SDJ will bring back the all controller functions back I have with my VCI 380 in ITCH e.g. Beat skip

they have not removed the beatskip, I still have mine.

I hope all itch features will be include. We will ser when and if it ever happens.

Fix SDJ and add the itch features and workflow and we will have something good going on.

Beatskip does not work in SDJ with the jog wheels on the VCI 380 anymore. In Itch it works.

It works exactly like in ITCH with me, it don't work on slip mode but this is done on purpose to "slice" with beat skip

I found the problem...I did not had enough power on the VCI...I had the power supply from the VCI400 connected because they have the same adapter and noticed that the led meters does not work anymore, so I changed the power supply and now everything works normal and beat skip also.Seems so that the powersupply from my VCI 400 is not working correct.

- 2 decimal bpm
- external recording

and this:

- SP6-player sync stays ON when you switch the bank

Jesus Christ! My SDJ is like a handicap without that function.
You even make it better and faster when you change the ABCD switching to the touch ribbon, but you "forget" to keep this very important ITCH-feature.
I can't play and mix with the SP6-loops and suddenly go to the next bank and adding some laser-sample (or whatever) AND go back to the previous bank and continue to play with loops. NO, i have to go and put the sync-functions ON first... This is bull****.

1: move able cue points
2: time elapsed in Offline mode (can't believe you can only see the time once you put down a cue point
3: someway of seeing the parameters when using slicer... i' cant remember but i'm sure in itch you could easily see/define the slicers. i use the 380 so you just drag your finger on the touch strip which is great but seem a little random (might only be me on that one though...)

Is there anyway to midi map a way to scroll through banks as opposed to mapping each bank to an individual button (i'm not a mapping pro i can get a fair bit but there are a few things which still elude me)

the ability of itch to record not only from external/aux/ mic, even the ability to recor just one of the playing deck. i used to used a lot recording the scratchs w/o the beat on the other side

day and night mode and the same album art grid options like Itch had am I am happy.Cmon Serato.....

this would be nice I find myself have to record with the music just cued in my headphones with the line fader down and cutting on the other channel. its acceptable but not ideal
