I have bought a new laptop, Fujitsu:
Fujitsu Lifebook AH532/GFX
Intel Core i5 3210M
4GB DDR3 RAM
500GB HDD - 7200rpm
15.6" HD LED display
GeForce GT 620M 1GB
Windows 7 Premium NL

I use Scratch Live and also Serato Itch. My scratch live works with my Rane SL4. When i connect to the Denon Controller and start up my itch, it goes from 1 deck (standard when you start itch) to 2 decks and back to 1. This all the time, untill Itch doesn't work anymore. Than i have to quit Itch and start up again. I tried to install the Itch when the denon is connected, tried to download again. Problem not solved. The PC is with the latest Bios Update. We made this yesterday. Also tried to connect in USB2.0 Port in stead of USB3.0. Also problem not solved. I read that the problem could be with the history file in serato maps, but i changed the name... I don't know what to do anymore, i have to play music this friday... Can you help me please with this issue?

Hey Tom V,

Thanks for the information you have provided. Have you tried using a different USB cable?

Do you have any other USB devices connected at the time? External drive?

Are you able to use the Denon controller as a sound card for your operating system? If you are unsure what I mean by this, let me know and I can explain further.

I tried a different USB Cable, the Denon says Pc connected when i connect, but after this when i touch a button on the denon it says LINK. There is no external drive connected. I tried different USB connecters on the laptop also because i USB 2.0 and 3.0. No solution...

I don't know how to use the denon as sound card. But my laptop knows the denon because it is displayed at the hardware when we connect.
There is a error for connection failed with Denon, the problem is that the laptop says he knows the denon and he is connected.

Ok thanks Tom.

Can you try doing this > Start Menu > Control Panel > Sound, and select the denon as playback device. If you then try and just play iTunes or some other media player on your computer, the sound should come through via the headphones connected to the Denon unit.

Check out this article to explain in more detail with screenshots about how to troubleshoot audio devices: www.7tutorials.com

If we can determine that this is working it can atleast confirm the unit is operating correctly. Let me know how you go!

This information was very helpfull, i think i found the solution. I took the Denon as standard sound and it works!
Thank you!

Great news! So you found the Denon was set as a default playback device in the sound options and you made sure it wasn't selected to get it to work with ITCH?
