if i were to remix a video that's in mp4 format, will the quality suffer? thining about using sony vegas to edit videos. thanks.

Yes the quality will suffer because its already compressed down to mp4 and when editing you will have to render again which will lose quality, how much, I am not sure.

Id do a test take your original mp4, do your edits and check the quality of both to see how the look at the same time locations.

the best way to do it (but u can't change the video)

demux the audio...then use that audio as a map for your remix. then render your remix then remux. walah no video loss.

i like the program, my question is if you edit the video after you split the file will the video must to be re-encode? lets say you just wanna extended the video a little more.
