Boogie Down Martin 1:03 AM - 12 April, 2008
Thanks Diablo!

What do I need the year for? Well, I'm adding the release year to each title in my digital my music collection, but I couldn't figure out this one.

I live in Canada but I have all my records in Germany so I'm mostly using Discogs and Google to find out the release year but the Salsa stuff is killing me... Seems like Discogs doesn't like Salsa ;-)

BTW I'm really diggin Latin Boogaloo/Old Salsa at the moment but I just have a couple of tracks. These are some favorites:

Joe Cuba - El Pito
Joe Cuba - Bang Bang
Eddie Palmieri & Cachao - Ay Que Rico
Fruko Y Sus Tesos - El Preso
Ismael Rivera - El Negro Bembon

I like the rawness of these tracks, they must have had hell of a party those days...

Any recommendations what else I could listen into?

Glad to help. The document I found was a chronological list of all of Fruko's songs with release year, composers, etc. and it listed 1990 on an album called Salsa Salsa.

I myself saw 1996 also but then saw a 1993 various artists album with it so couldn't be 1990.

Yeah, I thought it was older than 1996.
If you come across that list, please send it to me so I can date my Fruko files.

I need to locate the Sarabanda version in my collection.
