I personally hate skits. I think they're designed (for the most part) to inflate an album. Fortunately, Masta Ace's album was done with precision.

i agree with you sixxx, i especially hate when the skit gets a tracklisting to make the tape look like it has more tracks, but some of these skits are fuckin hilarious

I think the skits off Snoops Doggystyle were classic. I liked the skits from Kanyes College Dropout and Late Registration. If done right the skits tie the songs together and enhances the listening experience of the whole album. As opposed to being just a CD with a bunch of singles.

Hip-Hop albums these days really lack creative skits like some of the one's ya'll mentioned. I wonder if that's a testament to the lack of creativity in some of today's HH-music compared early/mid 90's stuff.

I think that lack of creativity is due to the fact that if the rapper knows he has a hot beat to work with, he will throw anything over it just to make a quick buck. Money was obv a factor back then, but now its at the fore front.
